That's my puppy!

Last week, my wife and I had to rush our Toy Poodle Speck to the Emergency Vet. We knew something was wrong when he refused to jump such that he unerringly hit my crotch with his head (several men are now cringing in the shared experience) and would not eat. It turns out that he had chewed through a rope toy and had swallowed a piece of it. It worked its way down to his small intestine where it lodged until the surgeon opened his stomach and the intestine in order to remove the item in two pieces.
He is home now and so fully recovered that we are having a hard time getting him to not jump around and do what puppies always do. He has enjoyed eating well. Until today he was restricted to boiled chicken and cous-cous (sp?) but now we are mixing in his regular food. He should be back to it exclusively by the end of next week.
"How does the image below relate?" you may ask. Quite easily. Speck had to have x-rays and other diagnostics. My (7 year old) son upon hearing this wanted to know if he had a cat scan. I told him no, he did not need one. "That's good, Daddy," he said. "He was too sick to chase the cat anyway."
