Hi Gang!!
I haven't been around too much lately, Lan has been busy, busy, busy working on the link at the bottom of this post.
Sweetpea...I am sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but I found out that they are taking volunteers to do just about anything! From delivering water, to helping clean up. You have to go through the Salvation Army or the Red Cross to do it, but all that entails is going to their command post, and sign up.
I hope this helps.
I saw some of the damage Friday...it's unbelievable. We went to OKC and since the tornado crossed the interstate, you can't help but see it. These were "Leave it to Beaver" neighborhoods, brick homes on foundations and they are nothing but sticks. We went out for a ride Sunday afternoon, and not realizing it wound up in another damage path. We were all in shock, we were trying to avoid it!!
We saw cars so mangled that you couldn't even tell what color they were, the only way you could tell they were cars was by seeing a doorhandle or an axel with a twisted hub sticking up in the air. Just wads of metal.
And even though we weren't directly affected by the tornado, well, I guess we were, but we still have our house, when a dark cloud comes up, or it looks like it's going to rain, the kids get very "antsy"...so do I. We aren't the only ones. We had a line of storms come through Sunday night, and the weather guy came on air every 15 minutes or so to update the timing of them, and was repeatedly telling us that this line of storms was in no way like the ones we had last Monday...no tornadoes. He said he had many calls that night from some very scared people.
Geez..I just popped in to post a url and I ended up writing a book...:)
Those of you used to my posting style should not be surprised!!LOL
Anyway...here's the link..Lan has worked very hard on this with the help of several others. I think he has done a marvelous job!!
Take care!!
